Spyware Solutions
I recommend two free programs, Adaware and the Yahoo
Toolbar Anti-Spy, to really get your spyware under control. I
also talk about these in my "7 Weekly Tasks".
Run both of these programs on a weekly basis, and between the two of
them, they will clean up the cookies and unwanted, invasive programs
that "stick" to your computer and mess things up. Did you know
that the popups that have been such a pain for years come from Spyware
files and programs? Yep, and you can Zap them with Adaware and
Yahoo Antispy.
A lot of people ask me
why programs are free, and the reason is that there are a few
benefactors out there that just want to clean up the internet.
Lavasoft is the company that gives away Adaware to home users.
They also have a more automatic program that does cost a nominal
price, but the free one works just great if you'll just go through the
process.
